I am not a fan of mushrooms. But eating stuffed mushrooms has brought me around to eating them. They are super easy to make. A recipe is not need for this appetizer or side, but here’s an idea to get you started…

These are the main ingredients I use for all my stuffed mushrooms… Add anything you want!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20-25 minutes
Total Time 30-35 minutes
Servings 6

Ingredients

  • 16 oz whole white mushrooms (approx med-sized)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp cream-cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (any variety)
  • 1 green onion, sliced finely
  • optional: seasonings of any variety & 1 tbsp bbq sauce
  • optional: fine breadcrumbs or panko crumbs for topping

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray/oil or line with parchment paper.
  • Carefully remove stems and rinse mushrooms. Pat to dry.
  • Mix all your ingredients into a small bowl (except for any toppings).
  • Carefully spoon mixture into holes of mushrooms and place on baking sheet. Add any desired toppings.
  • Bake in oven at 350 F for 20-25 minutes.
  • When done, allow to cool for 2 minutes, and enjoy!

Feel free to make up your own combinations and try various flavour ideas. Maybe try a mexican-style stuffed mushrooms with salsa and corn kernels, or try stuffing with pre-cooked seafood.

What sounds like a good idea to you? Leave a comment below and let me know!

Take care,

xoxo Amy
