Don’t toss the seeds when carving your pumpkins!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh pumpkin seeds — or however many you get!
  • 2 tsp olive oil or melted butter
  • optional flavourings: salt, pepper, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, sugar, garlic powder, honey, maple syrup, etc

Directions

  • Clean your pumpkin seeds. Place in colander and under running water, stirring with hand or spoon. Allow to drip dry.
  • Preheat oven to 425 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or tinfoil.
  • Dump all seeds into a bowl with olive oil/butter and mix until well coated.
  • Spread evenly onto baking sheet, and sprinkle your selected flavourings.
  • Bake for approximately 15 mins. Stir every 5 minutes (add more flavouring if needed). Bake until they turn golden.

 

*Use whatever combination of spices you like! I just made 3 batches: garlic, S&P and cinnamon/sugar.
