I used to be a huge reader. I sometimes find myself feeling guilty that I don’t read nearly as much as I used to. However, I have – over the past few years – become a big listener of podcasts. I find them great to listen to while cleaning or doing other mindless tasks about the house. You can hear great stories, work on personal development or learn new skills!

Win Back Your Money

I was inspired by a great podcast I listened to last week about “Top 10 Money Saving Tips” to create my own article about tips and tricks to help you out! There are so many seemingly insignificant purchases we make that can add up quickly. For example a $5 /month subscription to ANYTHING can add up to $60 at the end of one year. That could instead be used towards a fuel purchase, a small grocery store trip, a personal service to pamper yourself, or even invested to possibly earn you more money rather than just losing it.

Willpower Should Not Be Idolized

Following a diet or eating plan is not just about having willpower. Way too often we are hardwired to believe that the main factor you need to stay focused and stay on track is willpower.

The real message that should relayed is to get to a healthy body weight and maintain it, has nothing to do with ‘willpower’. People who maintain a great figure year round do not depend on this every single day. Instead, they have made their behaviors a habit. This does not require daily energy and becomes part of who they are. No thought necessary. It’s just part of their everyday life, just like how coffee-drinkers wake up and the first thing in their day is to pour a fresh cup.
